Risk
Disclosure
This Risk Disclosure explains what you should understand before joining the Kinerix Founders waitlist or participating in the project. It supplements our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. Read it once, in full, before you sign up.
If anything here changes your mind, the right answer is to not sign up. There is no penalty for staying on the sidelines.
1. Pre-Launch Stage — Nothing is Guaranteed
Kinerix is in pre-launch. The game is in active development by a single solo developer. The site and the Founders waitlist exist to communicate the project and to qualify early supporters for launch-day rewards. They do not represent a finished product.
A pre-launch project always carries the following possibilities:
- Delay. The launch date is not fixed. It will happen when the build is ready, not on a calendar.
- Scope change. Features described on the site, on X, or in Discord may be modified, replaced, or cut based on testing, feedback, or regulatory considerations.
- Cancellation. In extreme circumstances — including but not limited to regulatory action, force majeure, sustained technical infeasibility, or the operator becoming unable to continue — the project may not launch at all.
Joining the waitlist or verifying as a Founder on Discord does not protect you from any of the above. Founders rewards are contingent on the project actually reaching launch.
2. Cryptocurrency and Solana Risks
Kinerix is built on the Solana blockchain. By participating, you are working with cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency carries risks that traditional financial products do not.
- Price volatility. SOL and any other digital asset associated with the project can rise or fall dramatically in short periods. The fiat value of holdings, rewards, or balances may change at any moment.
- Total loss. Cryptocurrency holdings can lose all of their value. Past performance is not a predictor of future outcomes.
- Network risk. The Solana network may experience downtime, congestion, forks, or technical issues that prevent transactions from settling for periods of time.
- Smart contract risk. Any on-chain interaction Kinerix uses depends on smart contract code working correctly. Even audited code can contain bugs.
- Regulatory risk. The legal status of cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based games varies by country and changes over time. New regulations may restrict what is possible at launch.
You should not allocate to cryptocurrency more than you can afford to lose entirely.
3. Wallet Security — Your Responsibility
The wallet you sign up with is the wallet you must control. You — and only you — are responsible for keeping it safe. Lose the keys, lose the wallet, lose any Founder status and rewards tied to it.
- Never share your seed phrase or private key. Not with us, not with moderators, not with anyone claiming to be support, not with anyone at all. There is no situation in which a legitimate party needs your seed phrase. If anyone asks, they are scamming you.
- Your wallet address (the public string) is safe to share in the dedicated Founder verification channel on Discord. Anywhere else, including DMs, is not necessary.
- Use a hardware wallet if you are holding meaningful value. Software wallets are convenient but more exposed.
- Beware browser extensions and clipboard hijackers: malware can replace a wallet address you copy with one belonging to a thief. Always double-check the first and last characters of any address before sending.
4. Scams Targeting the Community
Active crypto communities attract scammers. Kinerix is no exception. The most common attempts target Founders specifically, since Founders have a verified wallet on a known list.
Known scam patterns to expect:
- Fake moderator DMs. Someone messages you on Discord pretending to be a mod, a verifier, or the operator. They ask for "verification," your seed phrase, a signature, or a small SOL transfer "to complete" something. This is always a scam. Block, report.
- Fake support accounts on X. Replies to your tweets from accounts that look like @KinerixGG but have small differences (extra letter, dot, capitalization). Always check the handle exactly.
- Fake giveaways and airdrops. Posts claiming a Kinerix airdrop, an early KNX claim, or a Founders bonus that requires you to "connect" your wallet at an unfamiliar URL. The only places we will ever post real claim information are kinerix.gg, the official Discord, and the verified @KinerixGG on X.
- Fake "wallet drainer" sites that copy the look of kinerix.gg under a different domain (e.g. kinerix.com, kinerix.io, kinerix.fi). Bookmark the real domain — kinerix.gg — and only sign anything via that bookmark.
- Fake token claims. Any account or site claiming a Kinerix or KNX token claim, presale, allocation, or "exclusive early access" is fake. The only places we will ever publish KNX details are kinerix.gg, the official Discord, and @KinerixGG. Anything else is a scam.
The operator will never initiate a DM asking for wallets, signatures, money, seed phrases, or private keys. Moderators will never do this either. If you receive such a message claiming to be from the project, treat it as hostile, do not respond, and report.
5. Game-Specific Risks
Kinerix is a 1v1 PvP skill-based car combat game. Even though the core campaign is free to play, certain optional features carry their own considerations.
- Optional competitive modes. If you choose to play in a competitive mode that involves a SOL stake, you are accepting the possibility of losing that SOL to a stronger opponent. Matches are decided by player skill, not chance, but skill levels vary. Treat any staked match as entertainment, not as a guaranteed return.
- Match disconnects and disputes. Network issues can affect any online match. The game's launch terms will explain how disconnects, disputes, and refunds are handled. Until then, no specific guarantee is in place.
- In-game purchases. Any optional purchase inside the game is final and non-refundable once consumed. Local consumer-protection rights remain available where mandated by law.
- Account suspension. Cheating, account-sharing, real-money trading of in-game items outside official channels, or other violations of the launch terms may result in suspension, loss of Founder status, and loss of pending rewards.
6. Tax Implications — Your Jurisdiction Decides
Cryptocurrency holdings, airdrops, in-game earnings, and any conversion between digital and traditional money can have tax consequences. These consequences differ in every country and sometimes in every region of a country.
You are responsible for understanding and meeting your own tax obligations. Consult a qualified tax advisor where you live. The project operator does not provide tax advice and does not represent that any specific tax treatment will apply to any specific user.
7. Not Financial Advice. Not Gambling.
Nothing on this website, in our Discord, on our X account, or in any communication from the project should be interpreted as financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Kinerix is a video game project, not an investment vehicle.
Kinerix is designed and operated as a skill-based competitive game. Match outcomes in any planned competitive mode are determined primarily by player skill, not by random chance or operator advantage. Under the laws of most jurisdictions, skill-based competitions of this kind are not classified as gambling — but classification varies. If skill-based competitive gaming with any kind of stake is restricted or illegal in your jurisdiction, do not participate in the competitive modes when the game launches.
8. Eligibility Reminder
Participation in the Founders waitlist and the Kinerix project is restricted to individuals who:
- Are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher)
- Are legally permitted to access blockchain-based products in their jurisdiction
- Are not on any sanctioned-persons list under EU, UN, UK, or US sanctions regimes
- Are submitting a wallet they personally control
If you do not meet all four conditions, you must not sign up. We reserve the right to disqualify any wallet that we have reasonable grounds to believe does not meet these criteria.
9. No Guarantee, No Promise
Nothing on this page should be read as a promise that the project will launch, that Founders rewards will be delivered in any particular form, or that any specific economic outcome will materialise. Everything described on this site is the current plan as of the "Last updated" date above. Plans can and do change.
10. Acknowledgement
By signing up to the Founders waitlist, by verifying on Discord, or by otherwise participating in the project, you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure, that you accept the risks described, and that you are participating voluntarily and at your own discretion.
